Features

Everything Pixel Sentinel does to keep your images yours. Each feature below says what it does, and where it stops.

Your real image, only on your sites

You list the websites allowed to show your images, for example yourstudio.com or every subdomain with *.yourstudio.com. Only pages on those sites get the real picture.

On your pages, a small script fetches the image and draws it for your visitor. Each visit gets a freshly shuffled copy that only that page can put back together, so the image address on its own is useless to anyone else.

Everyone else, and anything that isn’t a real visitor on your site, gets the scrambled copy:

For places that don’t allow scripts

Some places only accept a plain image or an image link: marketplaces, store builders, forums, emails. Each image also has a plain version for these. It shows the real picture only when the page it’s on is one of your sites, and the scrambled copy everywhere else.

It’s weaker than the script: a visitor on your own page can save the real image. It still stops hotlinking, image search, scrapers and direct links. What that means in practice →

Scrambling keyed by your password

Every image is cut into small tiles that are moved, rotated, flipped and colour-shifted, in a pattern that comes from a scramble password only you choose. The result looks like noise.

Your name on every copy

Each scrambled copy carries a banner: “⚠ Your Studio image is protected by Pixel Sentinel”, with your copyright notice underneath. Anyone who ends up with a copy knows whose it is. Change your name or notice at any time and every banner is redrawn.

Kept out of search and AI training

Well-behaved crawlers respect these signals; the rest only ever get the scrambled copy.

Invisible watermarks that trace a screenshot

Screenshots can’t be prevented on any website, so we make them traceable. Every large view of your image carries an invisible watermark unique to that viewer.

Found your picture somewhere it shouldn’t be? Upload the copy in your dashboard and see:

Compare that with your own site’s visitor logs to find the person. Marks survive resizing, re-saving as JPEG and small crops. When tracing doesn’t work →

Full size only when you choose

Your website only ever receives display-sized images, never the full-resolution file. Full size goes only:

See who is looking at your images

Your dashboard shows every request for your images over the last 7 to 180 days:

Break it down by site, network, browser or bot, operating system, device or image, and see at a glance which sites are copying you and which bots are trying.
