How views are counted

Only real views on your sites count.

• A view is each time a visitor’s browser shows the real image on your site. A gallery of 20 images is 20 views. Browsers keep images for a while, so someone clicking back and forth isn’t counted every time.
• Free, always: scrambled copies, however many times they’re copied, hotlinked or crawled; blocked attempts; bots; and your own dashboard.
• A full-size download through a link counts as 10 views.
• If you run out, your real images pause and visitors see the scrambled copies until you top up. Nothing is deleted, and nothing ever becomes unprotected.

What it’s worth

One stolen image costs more than a year of protection.

A photo reposted without credit is a lost sale, a lost licence fee or a lost client. Chasing it with takedown notices costs hours.
